We at Econ Financial Services are proud to announce our financial support of Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA), an organisation which provides essential support and services to those with spinal cord injuries.
The majority of spinal cord injuries are due to motor vehicle accidents, plus falls, workplace accidents and sporting and recreational activities.
As we all know, a spinal cord injury can happen in a split second and leads to lifelong health and mobility issues. Just imagine how devastating the effects of a catastrophic injury can be…particularly for the injured person, but also their family, friends and colleagues. To cap things off, this traumatic experience can also prove to be financially crippling!
Ongoing medical treatments are often expensive, let alone the new experiences of finding appropriate accommodation, organising different ways to get around and learning how to access and utilise care facilities…..just a few of a myriad of everyday issues to be addressed.
